This has been a crazy couple of weeks. I had the immense honor of receiving my first GRAMMY® Award for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album for my album “Tree Falls” that I released last year on GSI Records. This is my 8th album as a leader, and it features some incredible musicians - Casey Abrams, Gretchen Parlato, Becca Stevens, Eric Harland, Charles Altura, Ben Wendel, David Ginyard, Sam Sadigursky, Nathan Schram, Emilie Gendron, and Hamilton Berry.

The week before, I had the pleasure of premiering a new piece called “Imagine Our Future” in the Bay Area, CA at the Mountain View Center for Performing Arts. This was a Hewlett Foundation 50 Arts Commission in partnership with the Community School of Music and Arts. The performance was a large-ensemble mixed-multimedia work that was “crowd-sourced” from over 100 ideas submitted by youth in the Bay Area. This featured a stellar 12-person band featuring the amazing Lisa Fischer on vocals, with a full video projection display and coordinated lighting. It was wild to perform this, and I can’t wait to share moments of this with folks soon. I will post updates on this project here and on my social media pages so follow me there and join the fun! I am hoping to officially record that project and perform it at least a few more times - took me over 5 years to write, so it would be a shame if it only happened once!

COMING SOON - I will have some more downloadable content available on this site, such as downloadable video lessons, sheet music, and more fun stuff. Stay tuned and check back for updates, which I hope to have up and running soon.

I hope you enjoy all of the updates, and thanks so much for supporting me and my music!

Happy travels,

- Taylor
